Generally speaking, causes of any fire accidents can be categorized into six types. Among them, there are two chosen types to be discussed: Class C caused by electrical fires and Class D caused by metals, which will be listed in the content of my lecture. To educate the novices who have few experiences, I would refer to the two types of fire accidents. Types of Class C happen the most frequently, while types of Class D often occur in this industrial community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we respond to fire accidents of Class C, make sure that we never quench fires by water, which conducts electricity. To effectively put out fire, all the members should apply extinguishers who ingredients are made of dry powder. Sources of this type of accidents include wires, electric switchboards, and electric appliances that generated short circuits. Therefore, to guarantee the safety of putting out fires, the first step is to remove the connections of electricity. The second step is to apply the inert gas, like carbon dioxide, to suppress the flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another occasions, when we respond to fire accidents of Class D, we have to be aware that it\u2019s the elements like magnesium, potassium, and etc., that cause the chemical combustion. Of course, water can never be applied here because it may worsen the horrible situations. Therefore, the direct way to put out fire is to disconnect the chain reaction with some particular extinguishers. By removing the affixed elements of oxygen, combustion caused by metals would cease. Unlike facing other types of fire accidents, when we need to respond to fire accidents in factories, we have to be more prudent by being more familiar with the relevant chemical knowledge when tackling these difficult procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
